MNO SYNOD FALL YOUTH RETREAT (Grade 7-12)
YOUTH AND PARENT INFORMATION
October 8-11, 2010
Luther Village

MISSION is this year’s theme. After coming back from the Youth Gathering, we have the opportunity to go on another trip, a Mission Trip? What will you take? What will you do? How will you handle life in a completely different culture? How will your faith be impacted?

Ten people (most who are young adults) from our MNO Synod have recently returned from a Mission Trip to the Cameroon. They worked in three different areas on their mission trip. Members of this group of ten will be our leaders.

This is a great opportunity to rekindle friendships made at the Youth Gathering and to make new friends. This is a great theme to nurture your faith and understanding of God’s mission and your part in it. Come and enjoy the great outdoors (maybe even a snow ball fight like last Thanksgiving). Come , sing and worship with Prairie Fire, our Synod youth band. This is an event for Grades 7-12 youth that should not be missed.

Registration: Before September 26 (or whatever date your youth leader has set), get your registration form and cheque made payable to “MNO Synod” to your leader ($175, including bus, and $135, own transportation). All registration forms must be signed by youth, parent or guardian, and youth leader. Make certain to indicate on your form whether you wish to use the bus transportation from Winnipeg or St. Anne, or whether you will find your own way to and from Luther Village.

Bus Information: The buses will leave from south Winnipeg (the Canadian Tire parking lot at Fermor and Beaverhill) on Friday, October 8 at 6:00 pm sharp, and return on Monday, October 11 at approximately 3:00 pm. If you are catching/departing the bus from St. Anne. MB (Co-op gas station), the times will be approximately 6:45 pm on Friday and 2:15 pm on Monday. If you are travelling on your own, things will get started at Luther Village about 9:00 pm on Friday night and everyone will leave by 12 noon.

Packing List: Pillow and warm sleeping bag (in clearly marked bag)

One suitcase with casual/warm clothes, some rain gear, the above toiletries in it
