Office Hours: Monday through Thursday, 9:00 a.m. till 12:00 noon.

Service Times: Worship Services are Sunday mornings at 10:30 a.m. During the summer months of June to August, we worship at 10:00 a.m. Throughout the church year, there are opportunities for Midweek Worship Services.

Holy Communion is celebrated the second and fourth Sunday of each month and on Festivals. All who are baptized and recognize Christ’s presence in the meal for the forgiveness of sins are welcome to God’s table.

Sunday School
runs from September to May. The children and their teachers are dismissed to their classrooms following the children’s message. On Communion Sundays, they will commune prior to going to their classrooms.
Vacation Bible School is held each year in July, and runs for one week, Monday to Friday, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 noon.

We are a welcoming community. All are welcome to worship with us. Whether you are a one-time visitor or are considering making Good Shepherd your faith community, our hope is that you will experience God’s presence and love here, and always.

FM headsets are available for the hard of hearing. A water cooler is available, and is located in the lounge. A nursery/crying room is available with a window into the sanctuary and a speaker so that the service can be seen and heard. Our building is fully wheelchair accessible.

Children are always welcome here. Do not worry if they are wiggly or talkative, it is a sure sign that they are healthy and that our congregation is alive and growing. All children are invited to come to the front for the children’s message. They may then remain with you, or go downstairs for Sunday School.

A Youth Program has been created with the goal of increasing youth participation. The program offers children and youth an opportunity for fellowship, spiritual growth and service to the people of the church and the community. The program wants to help the children and youth feel connected to the life of the congregation and the wider church, and to discover and share their gifts. The Youth Program is aimed at school aged children and youth from grades 1 to 12.

Activities such as Ladies’ Bible Study, ACTS bible study, Men’s and Ladies’ Breakfasts occur each month. Opportunities exist throughout the year for other activities such as Family Fun Events, the Annual Golf Tournament, as well as Youth Events.

In service to the community, we are involved with Meals on Wheels, Our Daily Bread Soup Kitchen, the Selkirk Food Bank, the Selkirk Nursing Homes and the Good Friday Walk of the Cross.

In worship, we utilize a variety of styles of music: Senior choir, Contemporary choir, Men’s chorus, Jesse Tree Christian rock, and Children’s music.

This names just a few of the educational, social, mission and worship opportunities available. Hopefully, by sharing a little about us, we have made it easier for you to become part of our community. We invite you, members of your family, and friends, to join us.
