MNO Synod Events


The following material has been sent out either by email or mail to all rostered ministers and Congregational Chairpeople. If you have not received the information, please inform the Synod Office. Attached are Information Sheet and Registration Forms for delegates, youth assembly, visitors and guests for the Twelfth Biennial MNO Synod Convention. Congregational Chairs are asked to forward the information and forms to your delegate(s). Please note that registration forms with full payment are to be received by the synod office by *March 15, 2008*. A late fee of $25.00 will be charged for all registrations received after March 15, 2008. No registrations will be taken after April 10th and no fees will be refunded after April 10th, 2008. Also attached are Information Sheet and Registration Form for the one-day Renewal Event with Kelly Fryer on April 26, 2008. Please see the information sheet about who should be encouraged to attend. Those registering for the Convention as a delegate, youth, assembly, visitor or guest are automatically registered for the Renewal Event. Due to space constraints, we are accepting a limited number of registration forms for this event, so please register early. Homiletics
The Worship & Arts Committee wishes to announce the upcoming Multiplying Ministries course for lay preachers. The course will be presented at St. Mark's Lutheran on Friday Feb.22 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm starting with supper, and Saturday Feb. 23 from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm including lunch and coffee. The presenter will be Rev. Lee Luetkehoelter. The registration fee is $95, to be included with registration form (includes meals and coffee breaks) Please send the registration form to the Synod Office by January 18. The text for the course will be The Four Pages of the Sermon by Paul Scott Wilson. The reading of the text is required before attending the course. Please contact Duane at Hull’s Books immediately to order the text. It takes approximately two weeks for delivery of the book order.** Cost is $25.99 plus tax. Some have pre-ordered the book and may pick it up at Hull’s when contacted by the store.

Young Adults Relaxation Retreat

Attention all 18 to 30 something-ish! If you are looking for a great time to relax, wind-down, meditate, and reconnect with your spirituality and other young adults, this is the weekend for you! March 14, 15, 16. We will be going out the Wilderness Edge Retreat Centre in Pinawa for our annual Young Adults Retreat with the focus on slowing down, and rebuilding relationships with God and yourself.
