| Application for CLYG Band and Drama Troupe | |
Greetings in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit! First and foremost, thank you for considering this opportunity to share your God-given gifts with your brothers and sisters in Christ. The fact you are willing to embark on such a lot of work for so little personal gain, is testimony to me of the impact previous CLYG Band and Drama Troupes have made upon your faith journey. I know that’s how it worked for me. I saw those people on stage using their gifts in service of the Word. I saw how each became a small part serving to drive the overall message of the gathering and I said to myself, “That is for me!” |

| Interlake confirmands visit MNO Synod office | ||
On Tuesday, May 22nd the confirmation classes of the NEI Parish (Riverton-Hnausa & Ardal-Geysir) made a trip to Winnipeg to visit the offices of the National Office of the ELCIC and the MNO Synod Office. The Confirmands were informed at each place how the Church functions on the National and Synodical level. The Confirmands met the Bishops’, assistants’ to the Bishop and other office staff. They also heard the stories of how Bishop Raymond Schulz, Bishop Elaine Sauer and Assistant to the Bishop, Pastor Larry Ulrich were called into the ministry. These stories allowed the confirmands to hear how even a Bishop can say “Are you sure God… is this really where you want me to be”. It also helped them to understand that the church is much larger than their “family” size congregation – that they are a part of a much, much larger church family. I would encourage other classes to visit our National & MNO Synod office to learn more about our church, but as well meet the people who work there. Pastor Trudy Thorarinson |
