The Worship & Arts Committee wishes to announce the upcoming Multiplying Ministries course for lay preachers.

The course will be presented at Zion Lutheran Church, Beausejour, on Friday March 28 from 6:00 pm - 9:00 pm starting with snack social, and Saturday March 29 from 9:30 am - 4:00 pm including lunch and coffee.

The presenters will be Pastor George Johnson and Pastor Mark Koenker.

The registration fee is $65, to be included with registration form (includes copy of The Lutheran Handbook, meals and coffee breaks)

Please send the registration form to the Synod Office by March 24.

The text for the course will be The Lutheran Handbook.

Greetings from Cameroon,

In our devotional for Feb. 24, the verse was;
"Say there, is any one thirsty? Come and drink--even if you have no money! Come, take your choice of wine and milk, it's all free! " Isaiah 55:1 (if you have time...read the whole chapter)

With the events of Feb. 17-24 we do hope that many will continue to come through the doors of the churches that were dedicated, as well as the many that have been built in recent years...to receive the gift of eternal life!!

Preparations have been a long time a coming, the foundations were done years ago, the walls went up, the roofs went on, travel arrangements were made, the finishing touches were being done....and the floors being washed the eves before Feb. 17 and Feb. 24th. This has been the result of many construction committees, many fund raising projects and many planning committees to be a part of. This was all being done here in Ngaoundéré for three different churches.

Last year, Paul Bosch published three essays in a series called Greening Christian Worship.

Eleventh Annual PB Jam was held at the University of Manitoba on Tuesday, March 11. This year, about 2000 sandwiches (some just jam for those with allergies, but mostly peanut butter and jam) were made by students, chaplains, campus peer ministers, and faculty, for Girls and Boys Clubs across the city. The workers were an ever changing stream of people, as students and faculty came and made sandwiches between classes. This annual event is sponsored by the University of Manitoba Chaplains Association in conjunction with Winnipeg Harvest. Thanks to the congregations who supported this venture financially, in order to purchase the bread, peanut butter and jam.
