The Manitoba Interfaith Council will also be presenting the Spiritual Care Practitioner Award- to the Rev George Neufeld the former and first Coordinator of Spiritual Care for the Province of Manitoba.

There will be a presentation "Spiritual Care Education- meeting the need for qualified practitioners". Presenters Daniel Lussier and James Christie will be comparing the experience and expectations of health care owners/operators with those of the University".

James Christie is Dean of the Faculty of Theology, University of Winnipeg as well as Dean of the Global College there. He is presently serving as President of the Canadian Council of Churches. James Christie had been instrumental in enabling interfaith dialogue both nationally and internationally. He was a Canadian participant in the Interfaith delegation to the G7 Summit held in Germany two years ago.

Daniel Lussier is the Executive Director of the Catholic Health Corporation of Manitoba (CHCM).  Mr. Lussier has served as a Senior Policy Advisor to the late Ron Duhamel, MP for St. Boniface, Chief of Staff for the Mayor of the City of Winnipeg and most recently Executive Director of Festival Du Voyager.
