Cameroon Companion Synod Program

Jack and Val Frederick are planning another trip to Cameroon. Before they go, they will
travel to Minneapolis on January 31. They hope to fill their Honda CRV to the hilt with
supplies that will be shipped to N'gaoundéré, Cameroon.

Global Health Ministries http://www.ghm.org/  sends large containers of supplies to hospitals throughout the world.

The container(s) will be loaded on February 2 in Minneapolis and then ship on February 4 for arrival by the latest mid April.

When Jack and Val arrive in Cameroon, they will distribute the items.

Last year, Val and Jack took 100 school kits and 100 children’s kits from CLWR for distribution in Cameroon.

Jack and Val are looking for 50 With One Voice books, good Bibles in the English language, Sunday School materials, Bible Study materials and devotional booklets. Items can be dropped off at the MNO Synod office. Please arrange for drop-off prior to January 27.

Cameroon Projects
Roofs For Churches roofs
Numerous Churches within the area serviced require zinc roofs to withstand the environment.

At a cost of approximately $3000 per roof, our goal is to complete 5 roofs in 2008.
Motorcycles For Pastors
motorcycles

We require 10 motorcycles at $1,500 each for pastors to use in reaching remote congregations.

This will allow these congregations to gain support and continue to grow.

Without this support travel is on foot in very rough terrain.
Dental Office Equipment

While a dental office is available there is a lack of suitable equipment.

Our goal is to refurbish the office with good quality used equipment.

Food and Education for orphaned children
food and nutrition

The rampant movement of aids has created in it’s wake a large number of orphans.

Living with extended families they are often without food, clothing and any opportunity for education. This project will provide food packages weekly, tuition for school and appropriate clothing for a group of 300 orphans.
Hospital Upgrades & Renovations

Challenging conditions for hospital patients require relatives to cook and clean for patients.

This program will support patients with staff and counseling support.

Sustainability of the Garoua Boulai Protestant Hospital -50 years old and is a District, HIV/Aids and Tuberculosis treatment centre.
- Now in rehabilitation phase of its building and lab with new equipment.
-Crucial need for a 2 month supply of drugs.
- Initial essential drug supply would be run as a revolving fund. Percentage of income generated by drugs would be set apart to buy the next supplies.
